Abdi Nuressa is an Ethiopian musician known for his Oromo pop songs. His 2009 debut album "Irree Adda" (The Power of Culture) was a smash hit that made him a household name. One of the songs included in his first album, 'Ayyaana Laalattu' (Afan Oromo for 'opportunist') was a continuous rotation on Ethiopian TV channels and radio stations for months after its release. Crossing the language threshold, the song was a hit both in Ethiopia and abroad among people who speak the language and who don't. Abdi Nuressa’s newest song 'Oromonet' was released in January 2016.
